Well, news of Kim Jong Il’s (the now-former dictator of North Korea for those of you who sadly didn’t know) death is circulating throughout the interwebs. He died of some fatigue aboard a train in the nation’s capital, Pyongyang. What’s interesting, however, is that Homefront, that one game that probably could’ve succeeded the Call of Duty series but failed to do so, almost predicted his death to the exact moment.
Kim Jong Il died Dec. 17th, 2011, while Homefront portrays of his death in 2012 (2 week difference!)
Something else that might be noted, but wouldn’t be surprising, is that Homefront penned Kim Jong Il’s son, Kim Jong Un, to be his successor, but then proceeds to state (story wise) that this new successor would basically unite southeast Asia and invade the U.S., starting with Hawaii (really? What could you possibly gain in Hawaii?). Of course, this is just pure coincidence (unless you’re a conspiracy theorists, then… it probably isn’t), but nevertheless interesting to share to you guys!
