So… this could either be a really good thing for some people, but really bad for others. Apparently, someone who has bought a used Wii U system, that is, a system that was completely wiped and a new Nintendo Network ID account was created, was able to redownload games the previous owner had already downloaded. So, this would mean that games downloaded through the eShop are not tied to your own individual/group Nintendo Network ID, but to the console itself.
whoever owned the console before me purchased multiple games, meaning all the games he purchased are available to redownload for free….This is with a new account btw I setup as well. Games are clearly linked to Console itself. Advice to those buying a second hand WiiU’s…check all the games on the Store…you might be in for some “free” games! -DSN2K (NeoGAF user)
