-Over the years, Pokemon games had a significant delay in terms of release between Japan and the rest of the world, all due to localization issues. As time progressed, however, the delay time for localization became smaller and smaller.
-Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be Pokemon’s official debut on the Nintendo 3DS system, set to release in all major regions simultaneously on October 2013.
-New Pokemon will be incorporated, though it is unclear if it is Generation 6, or something specific to the region, which is also unnamed.
-How much in line does this have with the “Pokemon Rainbow” rumor from yesterday? Most of what was detailed was in fact correct, however, it does not really seem like you’ll be able to traverse across the first four regions (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh). Rather, it looks like a completely new region, though somewhat reminiscent of the Unova/Isshu region, but with some new mechanics.
-The old battle interface is pretty much scrapped, and replaced with a style similar to the Pokemon Stadium series. All Pokemon are rendered in 3D and have fluid motion, and a highly detailed background is used for the battle’s backdrop.
-The 3DS system capabilities will be utilized. This can include, but has yet to be confirmed, the 3D camera (i.e. Augmented Reality).
