The Ouya is becoming quite the console outside of the Big 3, and the people behind the console are making sure that everything is as perfect as can be before it launches in a little under two months. One of these things that will be revised is the controller, which were tested by the game developers.
So, what are the changes, you ask? The D-Pad, which used to be modeled like the XBOX 360 controller’s disk-based D-Pad, is getting revamped to a much more cross-like shape, with each direction protruding from the disk rather than having small indents on the disk. Also, the analog sticks are getting rubberized tips to help gripping, as developers have often made notes that the analog sticks before the change were quite hard to grip. The touch pad at the center of the controller is also getting tweaked to be more responsive, and the triggers are being redesigned to be more “flush” with the controller.
