So, are you a fan of the Global Link system for Pokemon Black/White/Black 2/White 2? Well, we’ve got some bad news for you: the service will be closed for the aforementioned games in order to pave the way for a new Global Link for the upcoming Pokemon X and Y games.
The process will begin in October, and then small changes will be made until the inevitable close on January 14, 2014. You can see the list of the events below:
– October 1, 2013 – October 12, 2013: Global Link will be undergoing maintenance, and new registrations for the current Global Link will be closed. Additionally, existing users will be unable to register new games into their accounts, and the demo version of Global Link will also be unavailable at this time.
– December 10, 2013: Players will not be able to tuck in any more Pokemon, but you will be able to still wake them up. If you have any Pokemon still tucked in at this time, you’ll still be able to make any final C-Skin, musical, and Pokemon skin customizations. These options will not be available after you wake up your Pokemon.
– January 14, 2014: Global Link will shut down for Pokemon Black/White/Black 2/White 2 at the end of the day. You’ll still be able to wake up any Pokemon that you have tucked in, but any customizations for your C-Skin, musical, and Pokemon skins will not transfer into your game. Though Random Mode in Rating Mode will not be available, the Free Mode will remain online.
