Final Fantasy Type-0 was a pretty awesome looking game for the PSP that has yet to reach us out in the West… yet. Nevertheless, the game will be getting somewhat of a spin-off entitled Final Fantasy Agito, which will probably be set for iOS and possibly Android devices. The game is set to release sometime this Winter, and will be based on a free-to-play model with item microtransactions.
So, what will you get to do in Final Fantasy Agito? Well, you’ll be able to create your own cadet character, and it was reported that the graphics outpace the PSP’s Final Fantasy Type-0. The battle system has yet to be revealed, however, moogles are apparently involved.
The story will be ever-changing based on player votes, and there will be a new chapter available every two weeks. There’s also a bit of a phase system in place; for the first 10 days, you’ll be playing out solo missions, and then you’ll be able to confront the boss in a team phase during the last 4 days. The famous Final Fantasy job system returns, and there will indeed be some returning characters from Final Fantasy Type-0 such as Ace, Deuce, and Queen. No word yet on an international release.
