Ever since Atlus’ parent company went down the drain, many wondered who would take the famous Shin Megami Tensei and JRPG company who has localized numerous number of games from Japan to the West. Many would’ve thought that Nintendo would’ve acquired the company, but recent news has pointed to Sega buying out Atlus for a total of $140 million.
No word yet on how Sega will handle the distribution of Atlus’ games, though many speculate that we may be seeing more ports of Atlus-based games across multiple platforms. Nevertheless, Sega won out against 20 other potential buyers, so what are your thoughts? Good move, or bad move?
