So, you got a PS3 getting set for the PS4. There’s a game that’s coming out in between now and the PS4’s official release date, but you don’t want to wait to play the game on your new shiny PS4 console. A while back, Sony announced that it had you covered: for just a small fee, you could upgrade from a pre-purchased PS3 version to a PS4 version of the game.
As of right now, only 4 games qualify for the program: Call of Duty: Ghosts, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch_Dogs, and Battlefield 4. Each upgrade will set you back $10 USD, and by buying the physical copy, you’ll get a redemption code to download the PS4 version. Of course, in order to activate your new game, you’ll need to have the physical disk inside of the PS4 console, after which you can probably just toss it or sell it back for profit.
