Caution: (Potential) Spoilers
So, did any of you enjoy J.J. Abram’s rendition of the Star Trek universe? Well, whether you did or not, it looks like the sequel will bring joy to the most loyal Star Trek fans…
Khan.
Sources have pointed to Benedict Cumberpatch playing the role as Khan, and it’s been relatively confirmed that the new sequel will not be a retelling of the “Space Seed” episode, where Kirk and friends encounter Khan. Also, it’s been noted that J.J. Abram’s Star Trek movies are attempting to mirror The Dark Knight, where Khan will basically be Star Trek’s Joker (not in terms of character, but in terms of how powerfully portrayed the villain was within the movie).
As a special treat, Leonard Nimoy has been confirmed to return as Spock Prime. Klingons will also be a part of the film, rounding this new Star Trek sequel to be every fanboy/girl’s dream movie!

i hope all copies of this movie are destroyed by either a solar flare or a zombie apocalypse
I know a few hardcore Star Trek fans who are not happy with the idea of Khan appearing in the reboot, but the first was so well done I guess we’ll have to keep our fingers crossed that they know what they’re doing.
J.J. Abrams has a very hard time disappointing movie-goers, though it is understandable that some hardcore Star Trek fans would rather see Khan untouched! Still, I’ll have to agree with you: let’s just hope they know what they’re doing!
